Agree that it's highly improbable someone would know two such individuals, but it sounds like what's being described is lateral ovotesticular DSD: ovary on one side and testis on the other. It is extremely rare but has been documented (links below). It is different from unilateral ovotesticular DSD (ovary or testis on one side and ovotestis on the other) and from bilateral ovotesticular DSD (ovotestes on both sides).
